Great post! For the cartoons, while I love B&W, though I have some color in my strips - I tend to think that the color adulting one might be the funnier as the kind of sunniness there from the colors puts the gag in better relief. But I'm on the fence about the concerns one - a color version may be funnier but the gag workd in B&W, and same for the friendship one - it could be as funny in B&W.
I also love the memorial. To have been Steven Wasson - the one guy from there to lose his life in Vietnam - sobering. And would John Stein, the sole one to have lost his life in Korea, be related to the Steins who lost theirs in WW1?
Steve was the only local to have died in Vietnam and John was the only one to die during Korea but technically died in an auto accident near base while deployed.
I like the B&W! Not a comic artist, but for what it's worth.
I’m on your side of this. I love the B&W ones. usually a splash of color brings in more comments but I’m sure I’ll keep doing both.

BTW - you were in the Navy? Me too - 1980-85.
Thanks for the feedback! As to the memorial. We're collecting stories as we can. You can see them here https://www.svpost227.org/war-memorial
