Public Flogging for October 10
This goofy newsletter is now 10% funnier than what I was doing 10 minutes ago
Status Updates:
Welcome back fellow featherbrained fools and folks. This week is full of comics that I think turned out pretty good. I like drawing from prompts. It lets me just heap on the sarcasm and not think about what I’m trying to say. I wonder if I can just do a year of comics based on prompts.
Let’s run headlong into this before I go on a long rant about something.
Playground
If you have ever played D&D you may be familiar with the problem of getting a group of adults to all show up on the same night. Problem solved, damn them all to hell and force them to be there.
Sunday Scary
Even zombies hate the thought of Monday's. Wandering around trying to get the weekend chores done zombies flee in fear of the Monday work grind where it’s all braaaiiiiiinnns all day.
Plushies
All plushies are a little evil. There’s not anymore to say about this. They are filled with the souls of angry animals out for vengeance.
Spiders Everywhere
Spider family reunions are a tough crowd. Do you think that spiders are afraid of each other or just creepy cousin Carl.
Johnny Guitar
Don't try to tell Johnny Guitar what to do. I bet the devil is tired of people trying to get rich quick by selling their souls. That was an introductory offer people. Read the fine print. He can give your soul back if not satisfied in 90 days and then you have to pay to have it cleaned before you can try to sell it again. It’s a process I don’t recommend doing more than a couple times.
They come at night… mostly
I'm going to need you to come in... mostly at night. I’m a little ashamed that I had to look up this prompt. I didn’t know what it referenced but once I did this weird mashup wouldn’t go away.
What's Next:
I’m heading east on vacation tomorrow and plan to put my toes in the Atlantic ocean again. I have 2 comics done and a few more sketched out. I hope to draw while I’m on the road but we’ll see how I do.
What I'm Reading/Doing:
I was proud to give out an award last night to one of my Legion post officers. She put a lot of herself into the organization and we probably don’t tell her enough.
Are you following me? You can.
