Status Updates:
I was, or rather my art was, rejected this morning and I was so excited about it for two reasons.
First, it means that someone somewhere actually looked and I wasn’t just putting art on a pile of other art. They didn’t just forget about it. That’s great! I hope that even though they can’t use it that someone cracked a smile when they reviewed it. I wish I knew more about the process. Should I be submitting at the end of the month or the beginning? Should I just submit roughs or keep putting finished comics up?
Second, It means I get to share this batch with all of you. I screwed up my queue and needed one for today and the timing is perfect. The batch I sent in is over a month old and I don’t like all of them as much as I did 30 days ago. I’ll share my favorites in the coming days.
Let’s start with Todays comic.
Handcrafted
I’ve probably told this joke before. I love the idea that someone is “snobby” about what gives them anxiety.
Water Park
A lot of my problems can be solved (or improved) by a lazy river. If I could read a book while on a “lazy river” I would. If you have no idea what I’m talking about check out the Wisconsin Dells.
Five Year Goal
Have you completed your quarterly and long term goals yet? Do you have to do that for your job? I like the faces on this one but if I did it again today I’d probably pose them differently and maybe set them in an elevator or at a desk.
Sketches:
I had a few this week that I’m in love with but I was pretty busy and missed a couple days.
What I'm Reading/Doing:
I’m about half way through the book I’m reading so I’m starting to feel ready for “Wind and Truth”. I’m also listening to “fugitive telemetry“.
I’ve also just about finished with my second book shelf for my office.
