Public Flogging for 2/27/2026
I am a magnet for fun, good humor and papercuts.
Status Updates:
I think I can empathize with a month that does 28 days of work and then just quits. February won’t be doing this job more than it needs to. Then it’s going home to watch cartoons and eat pizza. That’s why National Pizza Day is in February.
The State of the Union was last Tuesday and I couldn’t decide which stage of grief I’m experiencing so I didn’t bother commemorating it with a comic. Other people are doing that better.
On the upside I got a new dishwasher for the house. I’d be happier but I discovered that some of the features are hidden behind an app and I had to connect my dishwasher to wi-fi.
F*ck technology.
The Funny:
February Review - It's good to just get all your frustration out in the open before you start the next month.
Vacation - Read some of the reviews before you book that awesome looking vacation.
Remote Work - If I can avoid it, I'm never returning to the office.
From The Archives - 8/18/2008 when things were simple and silly. This one also happened before my day job manager threatened to fire me if I cartoon’d about work. That kind of killed my creativity for a few years.
What I’m Reading/Doing:
I picked up a physical copy of “Double Share”. It’s the fourth book in Nathan Lowell's Trader's Tales from the Golden Age of the Solar Clipper series. I’ve read and listened to it before but I love the series. Nathan Lowell’s books are comfort food for me. This one following the journey of new graduate and officer Ishmael Wang as he takes his first assignment on the dysfunctional freighter William Tinker.
