Running without a plan since 1973
Status Updates:
I should warn you all that I write these posts for me and I edit them for you. I sometimes have longer angrier (or happier) versions. They get the fat trimmed and then flavored for consumption.
If you are just here for the comics don’t feel bad skipping the rants. I’ll try to keep them short.
I feel like I missed a few days this week. I accept that today is Friday but I think I left Tuesday unattended somewhere.
Monday was MLK day. Over the last few years, I’ve see the parade of elderly goobers that we call politicians give their “I have a speech” press release, and the question I walk away with is. what were they were doing in 1965. Many of them were in their early 20’s and were already adults.
What would they say in front of a camera then?
Have they changed at all or did they just get quiet?
Don’t worry, I also feel that way about my Generation. Did we grow up, see the cracks in our system and work to fix them or did we just get better at saying the nice thing so we could get the bonus check?
Anyhow… That’s probably something for me to chew on.
The Comics:
It’s true. I set a lot of alarms to keep me on track. They mostly remind me that an hour has passed and to check what I’m working on.
I like my Sluggo comics. This one didn’t really get a reaction and it may have fallen flat. Here's hoping that 2026 is filled with weirder and weirder comics.
There just seems to be something about the weather this year. This one started life out as a completed drawing/comic and I liked it so much I had to add digital inks and color.
Coffee Drawings:
What I’m Reading/Doing:
Still digesting Dungeon Crawler Carl. It’s fun and it’s distracting. I call that a win.
