Status Updates:
I’ve been avoiding writing this. I’m kind of glad that I did. I work hard to keep this newsletter upbeat and focused on humor. That would have been tough to write on Wednesday. It’s still tough today. I don’t wish to be only another voice in the chorus of others that are shouting. I will be spending the next few months contemplating on how I want to present my voice in the next few years. The question is will I keep investing the time only making light hearted meaningless comics that you could read in the back of a family magazine or do I take some risks and let more of my natural snark into my comics.
More to come, but both options have appeal and I can still work to make my community better with either option.
Santa?
Every year in the fall when I grow my beard out I look just a little more like Santa. I’m at the point where I may just buy a suit and start another side job.
Sluggo
Ryan Estrada challenged me to pitch comic ideas to Pluggers. It’s been so fun and I encourage you all to play along. It’s a pure vanity project but I’m easily amused. I’ve had a couple picked up now.
People did what?
Hang in their folks. I’m finding out what I want to say.
What's Next:
Veterans day is Monday and that means I have a busy weekend with the Post. We’re planning a chili cookoff because of course a veterans post has a chili cookoff. We’re doing this to raise money for charitable spending in our area. We have kind of let it slip in the previous years and I’m hoping to fix that.
