On Saturday I got some mail from
. I subscribed to his Substack and was supposed to get ONE art print. I received a handful of prints and I’m tickled about it. Over a year ago I was challenged to a writing contest where we would pitch ideas to pluggers and see who got one posted first. It was a great idea and I don’t think of myself as a writer. I’m more of a guy who draws and wings it with the words. I really enjoyed doing it and in the end I saw multiple idea published over the last year.I’m not sure where I’m going to hang them all or if they need to go in a rotation.
I also goofed off in Santas workshop a bit. He’s building a toy box for someone special.
I posted a comic about Government controlled AI. I have since come to learn that it’s already worse than I had heard and they are just randomly collecting and tracking your license plate locations and then an AI tells them if you’re suspicious or not. What could possibly go wrong there….
I was also accepted into the National Cartoonist Society!
I wouldn’t have even considered this a few years ago. I’m just a guy.. I do comics for fun and sometimes for money and…. yeah I guess that does sound like a part time job for me. Thanks
and . I wouldn’t have considered it before becoming addicted to comic lab.Next goal.. get something published in the New Yorker.
Then there’s this tired lady.. I relate to this drawing more than you may guess.
Next Up:
I need to get a “Rough Patch” post written up. I had a surge of hand drawn comics and I want to talk about them.
